Susan Rodway QC secures one of the largest medical negligence settlements in history
Susan Rodway QC led the legal team which recently achieved an award of £10.8 million for her client, Milly Evans. This is thought to be one of the largest awards for a birth injury caused by clinical negligence.
Milly, now aged 11, suffered catastrophic brain damage leading to cerebral palsy. She cannot walk or speak but communicates through sophisticated eye gaze technology and takes part in numerous activities including sailing and flying.
The award is made up of a lump sum of almost £5.9 million and periodical payments rising to over £200,000 p.a. to pay for the round the clock care Milly needs for the rest of her life.
