Robert Jay QC Named in The Lawyer ‘Hot 100’ 2012
Thirty Nine Essex Street’s Robert Jay QC has been named in The Lawyer ‘Hot 100’ 2012, an annual supplement which celebrates the highest achieving legal individuals of the year.
Robert has been chosen as one of the year’s most notable barristers and is cited for being appointed lead counsel to the Leveson Inquiry, one of the most closely followed public inquiries of recent years and a role which has made him, according to The Lawyer, “perhaps the most-watched barrister around at the moment.”
His work earlier in the year defending the Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO) on the Mau Mau litigation - five test cases which involved claims for compensation arising out of alleged torture in the 1950s in Kenya – is also highlighted.
